Campus France Ghana
Campus France is the French national agency in charge of promoting higher education, welcoming and attracting international student mobility to France. Headquartered in Paris, Campus France operates a network of 255 offices and branches worldwide.
The Campus France network in Ghana is made up of two offices located: in Accra—hosted by the University of Ghana on its main campus at Legon—and in Kumasi—hosted by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on its main campus. The two offices operate in tandem to serve the students across the country and depend on the French Embassy in Accra. In addition to the support from the French Embassy and Institut français Ghana, it also benefits from the support of Campus France Paris.
Campus France’s mission in Ghana is to advise and provide support services to students in Ghana who wish to pursue their studies in France. Services provided include:
- Guidance on choice of courses in France
- Information on the French higher education system
- Information on the various possibilities for financing studies
- Assistance with administrative procedures of academic registration and student visa applications
The Campus France offices regularly organise information sessions in Ghanaian tertiary institutions and takes part in various higher education fairs in Ghana. Campus France Ghana also supports the development of the alumni network, in particular, through the launch of the France Alumni Ghana platform operational since October 2017.
