Agreement on mutual recognition of studies and qualifications
On Tuesday 9th of June, 2015, a historical agreement on mutual recognition of studies and qualifications between France and Ghana was signed by the French University Presidents’ Conference (CPU), the Conference of Directors of French Engineering Schools (CDEFI) and the Vice Chancellors Ghana (UG, KNUST, UCC, UEW, UDS, UMAT, UENR, UPSA, UHAS and GIMPA), in order to continue studies in the partner country.
The signing ceremony took place at the Residence of France, in presence of the Ambassador of France to Ghana, H.E. Frédéric Clavier.
The mutual recognition of studies and qualifications will promote and facilitate the studies of Ghanaian students in France and of French students in Ghana This agreement details the certificates, qualifications and titles and organization of higher education in both countries, the access conditions to the higher education system of the partner country, the recognition of studies periods with no award and degrees in partnership. It is for CPU and CDEFI their first agreement in Africa.
