A delegation from France Médias Monde (RFI/France 24) in Ghana
To mark the launch of the new enhanced editorial offer of RFI in English and the arrival of France 24 on the Ghanaian DTT, a strong delegation of France Media Monde, representing both international French radio and television channels which broadcast in French and English languages, conducted a two-day mission to Ghana on 25th and 26th November. the aim was to promote their offer and consolidate their position in the country through agreements with various Ghanaian media operators; some agreements are already signed others are in the pipeline yet to be signed.
During these two days in Accra, both channel directors, Cécile Mégie (RFI) and Marc Saikali (France 24) met, with the support of the Embassy of France, officials of the National Communication Authority and the National Media Commission and the managers of First Digital, Crystal TV, Ghana broadcast Corporation and TV3. On the 25th November, at a reception held at the Residence of France, representatives of France Media Monde have presented their offer to the authorities of majors TV media, as well as radio and internet operators in Ghana such as Crystal TV, TV3, MTN… who responded massively to the invitation of His Excellency Mr. François Pujolas, Ambassador of France to Ghana.
On the 26th November was held at the Alliance Française d’Accra, recordings of the famous live show "Paris Live FM", renamed for the occasion "Accra Live FM". It was preceded with a press conference which witnessed a very large number of journalists.
